This chapter explores the characteristics of the atmosphere in spring. It relates the distribution of ozone and NOx to ozonesonde data and the temperature and movement of the air. The objective is to investigate the factors responsible for the composition, temperature, density and movement of the air. The discussion pertains to the origin of the planetary winds, cloud cover and surface temperature, in short climate change.
